I’m generally pro-Elon and even tech friendly, but for as long as this fundamental misunderstanding persists, it’s impossible not to see the next step toward dystopia goals “for humanity.”

It’s not actually a necessarily good thing to have the two ostensible extremes upset.
The two ostensible extremes might not actually be in opposition if the continuum or spectrum is improperly defined, as it is with our left-right political spectrum. If the most “left” and the most “right” are all secular, globalist, Statists who seek solutions “for everyone” from a centralized (and centralizing) authority, then there is no important practical ideological distinction between the two and the common goals - Regime goals - are advanced. In actuality, only one viewpoint is represented.
In this case, both the “left” and the “right” are actually just the left, and the actual right has been disappeared.
The set of people upset at XformerlyTwitter’s free-speech manipulation (which is necessarily censorship) includes the ENTIRE SET of actual dissenters from Regime ideology and some supporters who make more ‘cultured’ supporters look distasteful.
Elon’s “Angry Extremes Standard” is shown to be absurd when the decentralizers, anti-globalists, anti-Statists, anti-collectivists are all contained in the “extreme right 10%.”
Angering the superficial “extremes” is not an acceptable standard when there only happens to be one right answer and there is not a legitimate opposing case. If 1% of people are right about something, censoring them on the basis that their position is “extreme” bars the only correct viewpoint from the conversation. Censoring the most “extreme” wrong view in opposition does not equal out the wrong done by being “fair and balanced.”
The one correct viewpoint will be eliminated, one extremely incorrect viewpoint will be eliminated, and what will remain are 98 other incorrect viewpoints.
In both cases, Elon’s “Angry Extreme Standard” is an obvious intellectual and moral failure. We do not need to applaud this preposterous nonsense or attempt to appease pro-Regime normies because they are occasionally portrayed as allies.
The reality as it stands is that BOTH of the problems have overlapped. Our moral relativism and commitment to information approved by authority have left us totally oblivious to the fact that all the correct anti-Regime information AND all the people who possess it are barred from the mainstream conversation.
XformerlyTwitter remains a censored platform.
He’s telling us it’s intentional.
Control freaks don't change their stripes when they switch sides. So far, I read/watch Truth Social and "Be Reasonable" with you, Chris. That's it. Turning off the phone more now, the less screen time per day, the better. IMHO.
Thank you for holding the line. I agree completely. And I hold Trump accountable.
