Regarding "We were already divided" - while I don't argue the division exists, I think there's a lot less division than the controlled media wants us to believe.
Being new here, I decided to just start off with this first podcast. Seems extremely relevant to our discussion in the other podcast. Thanks for doing it, noble cause to "get people to stop hating their other countrymen."
I've often said "I'd much rather trust the guy I just met on the street than anyone behind the microphone, because there's a reason that person is behind the microphone - they're often paid to be there and tell me something."
In my travels around the world, I've developed a view that we really don't have each other to fear. Of course, I can only speak for those I've met, and I tried to be somewhat cautious with whom I couch-surfed and where I went.
The only pay I receive is the support from the community and the little I get from ads. I was even banned on Anchor where I made some money for doing the show. I don’t do this for the money. Hopefully I’ll be able to make a comfortable living doing it one day, but I’m certainly not now. Are you saying you went all the way back to the beginning?
Yep, I just figured to best understand your whole podcast in context with today, I should start with your first podcast. That's not unusual for me. I've always believed the best way to understand anyone is through the lens of their history, and this podcast is as far back as I can go on you right now.
If you got banned on anchor... then wow, you must be doing something right :)
I left Facebook, my only social media, after years of having my thoughts censored from my friends there.
Hope the tides turn in favor of people who have independent thoughts soon.... in the meantime, I'm glad to have pockets on the internet, like your substack here, CannCon's, etc.
