I am conflicted about the politics of the pro-life position. On the one hand, the entire issue rests upon when life begins (at conception) and what that growing life is. If we acknowledge the new life is a person, then they have the right to life from the moment God breathes life into the soul. No government can bestow this right. It comes from God. On the other hand, there's the question of a candidate's position on abortion, a position that can win or lose a race. I don't agree with Trump's position on abortion because if abortion is murder and we leave the decision up to the states, then why not all murder be left up to the states? You can see the dilemma there. Even exceptions for rape and incest are hard to justify if the life being snuffed out is an innocent human being with the right to life. The pro-life movement has made progress, but in my area, Planned Parenthood is still performing abortions every week. Even with a fifteen week ban, no one monitors Planned Parenthood or prosecutes them for violating the ban, so who knows the age of the fetuses they abort? Bottom line? The Lord gives us free will and we are free to kill our babies and probably will always be free to do so until the personhood of the unborn is asserted and protected.
I agree, answer so many times the life of the mother is blown out of proportion just because she wants an abortion! And, killing th baby in the womb because of rape or incest is no different, in my opinion than Jill ng all the children of a rapist or someone who has committed incest. After all, they could grow up to be rapists, too. But that is where WE have to get involved in our state governments. State governments all have different standards on how they handle different types of murders. They don't all mandate capital punishment We HAVE to be involved!
Yes. We are being "ruled" by idiots and we can't sit and watch this shit show.. We don't need more laws to protect the vulnerable. Killing an innocent human being is already a crime. But evil people get away with killing by dehumanizing their target. Whoever they hate or threatens their lifestyle - just say that "category" is not a person, so they can be eliminated.
