No doubt that amnesia in soap operas is a bit ridiculous. But I have seen it in real life- albeit temporary. My son has severe epilepsy with irreversible brain damage. Sometimes during a complex partial seizure or after other forms of seizures in the post ictal period his brain doesn’t function properly. He sometimes forgets who he is. Or who I am. He has called me by teachers names that ge had in preK (he’s 17). He has even completely changed his interests and typical behaviors in the days after a few seizure clusters. It gets weird. It usually doesn’t linger for more than a few days, unless he gets hit with another big seizure.

I take your point about dramatic amnesia on tv, and I agree with you. They certainly take creative license… or just create utter bullshit. But it also certainly can happen in real life. And it’s not fun to be a part of.

I imagine a lot of these useful idiots will experience their own version in the not too distant future. 🤔

I missed the live stream but wanted to comment on some things pertaining to federal employees. FYI…a lot of them haven’t been going in 5x a week since 9/11. It become common practice during Covid they were home indefinitely. Now they go in sometimes 1-2x a week depending on the agency. Some do go in 5x a week but it’s rare.
